James B. Campbell, Ph.D.
James B. Campbell, Ph.D., is professor of geography at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, where he teaches remote sensing, quantitative methods, and geomorphology. He has worked closely with students and faculty in allied fields, including forestry, geology, agronomy, and environmental sciences. He is author of several books, including Introduction to Remote Sensing, now in its 4th edition, widely used at universities in the U.S., Canada, and overseas, as well as numerous technical articles.

Dr. Kirsten de Beurs
Dr. Kirsten de Beurs is an Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Oklahoma. MSc. (2000) in Agricultural System Science from Wageningen University in the Netherlands and a PhD (2005) in Natural Resource Sciences from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her research focuses on on the analysis of land cover / land use change in Northern and Central Eurasia as a result of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Rudolf N. McClain
Rudolf N. McClain is a director, writer, cinematographer, filmmaker, animator, interviewer, and independent filmmaker from St. Helena, CA, in the heart of Napa Valley wine country. After attending University of California, Santa Barbara, he developed, wrote and produced Merlove: a documentary about the rise and fall of Merlot Wine. His next film currently in production is Que Syrah, Shiarz and his mission is: "To develop original and adapted properties into feature films that compel."

Dr. Lisa Kennedy
Dr. Lisa Kennedy is an Associate Professor of Geography at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. She teaches classes on physical geography, globalization of nature, human impacts on the environment, and has led many study abroad trips. Her research focuses on reconstruction of decadal to millennial‐scale climate and vegetation change, disturbance regimes, and human‐environment interaction in the Neotropics, Caribbean, Southern Appalachians, and southeastern U.S. through the study of lake and wetland sediments, soils, and tree rings.

Dr. Peter Doolittle
Peter E. Doolittle is Director of the Center for Instructional Development and Educational Research (CIDER), Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the Department of Learning Sciences and Technology (LST), and the Director of the Educational Psychology Research Program (EPRP) at Virginia Tech. He is also the Executive Editor of the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (IJTLHE) and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Cyber Behavior, Psychology and Learning (IJCBPL). Dr. Mark McNamee
Dr. Mark G. McNamee has served as senior vice president and provost at Virginia Tech since 2001. As provost, he is the university's chief academic officer responsible for all undergraduate, graduate, research, and outreach programs of the university. Dr. McNamee has extended the university's efforts to expand research opportunities in biomedical and health sciences, bioinformatics, information technology, and nanotechnology. He led the effort to restructure the schools and colleges in order to position Virginia Tech for enhanced excellence across the disciplines, and his work resulted in one of the largest reorganizations in the university's history.
